Our Story
Longdoggo Dahlia & Sunflower Farm is located in sunny Southeastern Washington state close to the beautiful Columbia River. We are a pocket sized farm with perfect Dahlia growing weather from May to late November. Our mission is to provide the highest quality dahlia tubers and share our love of all things flowers and hounds. We are dedicated to Greyhound advocacy, pet adoption, and happy homes for all animals from birth to end of life. Heidi, Winnifred and Gertie Greyhounds /Flower Detectives.
Shipping Policy: Tubers will ship from April through May. Tubers will not be shipped immediately to ensure they do not freeze during shipment.

Orders are shipped through the U.S. Postal Service via USPS First Class or USPS Priority Mail.

We sell and ship only within the United States.
​
U.S. Shipping on all orders is $15 flat rate, for any size order.

Shipping Confirmation
If you have supplied us with your email address, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with the package tracking number on the evening your order has shipped. Remember, we ship all retail orders through the United States Post (USPS) office, so we need your mailing address (the address you receive mail at daily).

Terms of Service:

Once an order is placed, we cannot add or subtract items. If you want additional items, not included in your original order, please place a new order. We are unable to combine shipping and reduce charges on separately placed orders or on orders from different sales.

Please note: Packages returned to Longdoggo Dahlia Farm due to USPS's inability to deliver (whether from inaccurate address info provided to Longdoggo Dahlia Farm or other delivery issues) are ineligible for a refund of shipping fees.

Items placed in carts are not guaranteed or reserved until purchase is completed, and the purchaser has received an order number/confirmation email.

We guarantee that our dahlia tubers will grow and will be true to variety name, or your product will be refunded. Please plant your dahlias after your USDA growing zone's last frost date. Our tubers are stored in temperature and humidity-controlled coolers. If for some reason we have storage issues with any of the tubers in your order, we will refund the cost of the tubers.

All dahlia splitting tools are disinfected/sanitized between splitting every dahlia clump to prevent disease.

​​All dahlias will arrive with at least one viable eye (may not be visible upon receipt). If your dahlias fail to sprout within 5 weeks after planting, or you have any concerns, please email us immediately at longdoggoflowerdetective@gmail.com, and provide photos so that we can attempt to help in the very best way possible. Your dahlia happiness is very important to us; however, we are not responsible for weather issues, pest damage, or poor customer care.

Due to the demand for dahlias at the moment, and the fact that I am a small grower with limited stock, purchase limits have been applied to some tubers so that more people can enjoy.

All original dahlia tuber stock is from carefully chosen dahlia farms across the United States.
Each dahlia tuber is planted by hand, individually tended and loved May to November, dug and stored by hand in late October-November, and checked on daily in cold storage from November to April shipping.

Greyhound Adoption

All Dahlias are inspected by Winnie and the Washington State Department of Agriculture during the growing season and before tuber shipment. Each tuber will arrive with the inspection certificate sticker.
